Natural Law Trust
While it is not mandatory, it is highly recommended that each UFO operating as a MetaMinistration organize their business as a Natural Law Trust, or what banks prefer to call a Private Irrevocable Trust.
There are several reasons for this. First and foremost, it most closely matches the structure of the MetaMinistration. The militaristic structure of corporations, and therefore, the corporate model is anti-thetical to the MetaMinistration.
Corporate structures legally require a top-down authoritarian architecture, whereas Trusts are more flexible. Essentially, the MetaMinistration is the perfect model for what is typically known as the Employee-Owned Co-op. That said, most Employee-Owned Co-ops still employ a Corporate Model because that is all they know.
In a Trust, there are essentially 3 types of people: The Grantor, the Trustees and the Beneficiaries.
In a typical family trust, for example, the Grantor would be the parents, they would hire friends as their Trustees, and their children would be their beneficiaries.
In a typical Private Foundation, the Grantor would be the Founder, who would hire trusted allies as Trustees, and the beneficiaries would be the Charities and other organizations they support.
Thanks to the flexibility of Trusts, the MetaMinistration would use this model a bit differently. Since Source is the center of every Holosphere, as well as the center of the UFO as a whole, Source would be the Grantor. However, since banks and governments may not be willing to accept that, a proxy Grantor would be acceptable. A proxy Grantor can be anyone, since after they sign the paperwork over to the First Trustee, their job is done.
The First Trustee would be the actual Founder of the business. By acting as the First Trustee, rather than the Grantor, they are able to maintain managerial stewardship of the Trust/UFO. All the other employees of the UFO would also become Trustees. At least those who are no longer in training and have proven their loyalty to the UFO.
The Beneficiaries of a MetaMinistration would be the customers of the UFO. This is rather atypical as beneficiaries usually need to be named. But it makes sense. After all, the ones who benefit from the products or services of a UFO are its customers.
Setting up your UFO as a Natural Law Trust also has other benefits. Namely, it has no income tax reporting requirements, and with all your employees as Trustees, you do not need to withhold income taxes on their payroll.
However, it must be duly noted that those who do not pay income taxes are not entitled to Government Benefits. I am of the opinion that Government Benefits are not worth the trade off, but everyone is entitled to their own beliefs on the matter.
Should you choose not to frame your business as a Natural Law Trust, the second recommendation would be to set it up as a Private Membership Association or a Church. If your organization is spiritual in nature, a Church may be the perfect fit. Otherwise, a Private Membership Association may fit the bill more appropriately.
Churches are also tax-exempt entities, although it’s not necessarily true that their payroll is tax exempt, just their profits. Although there are ways around this if you wish. One way, for example, is to use the Church and the Natural Law Trust together.
Private Membership Associations are non-taxable entities. They require membership contracts for both your customers and your staff, but executed properly, all staff and company profits are non-taxable.
If none of these options sit well with you, the best last resort option is the LLC. Structured with the use of a Natural Law Trust, the Trust can own the LLC, helping you to save massively on income taxes from profits.
If you prefer, you can pay yourself from the Trust as Trustee, rather than as an employee of your business to legally avoid income taxes yourself, and the LLC would still have to withhold income taxes for its employees. This option is especially useful if you plan on obtaining business loans, or need to separate non-Trustee employee payroll from Trustee payroll.
